Juicing vegetables allows a lot more nutrients to get into your body way faster then eating and digesting them. You can lose up to 65% of nutrients to the digestive process! The biggest thing about juicing is that you could never eat that many vegetables in a day so it's actually a super phenomenal way to get vegetables in your body and to heal your body. If you just want to get healthy or you feel like you are rundown and fatigued and need to boost try some juice.
My juicing experience started about five years ago when I found out that I had lung cancer. I went to Dr. Allison and she gave me some ideas about the benefits of juicing and so I juiced for probably about a year. I felt great but after about a year I started sloughing off again. After my diagnosis of my metastasized lung cancer, I actually started doing more of a raw diet and it's called the hallelujah acres (see link at the end of text) diet. I started investigating it more and found that a lot of people are doing juicing to heal themselves.
Eating raw basically gives you food that is closest to the earth and that's really what you need in order to keep your body in the best shape ever. I lost 80 pounds by eating raw and juicing. So if you need a good diet, juicing works!! Now that it is spring, Alan and I have started juicing once again. I had to actually stop eating raw because the cancer had started acting up and was spitting out these hormones that didn't allow me to assimilate any of the raw food so I had to start eating cooked food which is a whole other story. I am attaching some pictures of the juice that we did just so you can see how pretty it is. This juice is actually a very simple juice it just has 5 pounds of carrots, big huge bowl of kale along with red kale, some ginger root, burdock root, lemon, apples pears and beet greens.
