It has been a while but here goes. Had the awesome opportunity to be up in the Northwoods of Wisconsin over the 4th of July holiday and it was beautiful!!! While I was there I had the "great bug experience" while sitting in the boat watching my sister fish. The bugs this year are an interesting breed. They buzz and buzz around your head and can drive you crazy. Where are they going? What exactly are they doing? Around and around and around- buzz, buzz, buzz. Sometimes it makes me think about the people and their hustling around and around and around. Where are we going? What are we trying to do? Like the bugs, are we buzzing around and around the same thing over and over again? Maybe it's time to stop our "buzzing" and find something else to focus on.
One of the really good ways to do this is to literally stop and take a three minute pause. Physically stop what you're doing. Ok, right now.
- Close your eyes (you can keep them open to read a little more :)), breath in deeply, exhale and try to focus just on your breath. In and out. It's easy, really it is!
- Oh wait-you don't have to do anything. Just for these three minutes.
- Your body will take care of the breathing, all you do is focus on the in and out.
- Focus on just breathing for three minutes. Count if you need to!!
So if you can breath the clean, fresh air during your pause from the "buzz", ENJOY!!
Peace and lots of love,
Leslie
